How Psychotherapy Works
Here is a video explaining the basics of how psychotherapy works. The key is to realize that psychotherapy helps us become more aware of our story and patterns of being with ourself and the world. While this video distinguishes CBT from psychotherapy, they are often intertwined and integrated. One distinction that I would like to make regarding this video is that it does not take 2 years to find healing. Based on how motivated you are to see change, progress and healing can be found between 8 - 24 sessions. It really boils down to you being able to trust me and the process which would take curiosity and openness.
